Good News for Alfreton

In these days of cut backs and austerity it is good to know that not all news is bad news. One local good news story has been the rise of Alfreton Hall as a preferred wedding venue.

Alfreton Hall has seen many incarnations since it was first owned by the Palmer-Morewood family. in 2007 work started on the rennovation of the Hall to its former glory.

In early 2008 Alfreton Hall was opened to the public and has become a favourite wedding venue in the area.

Luke Holmes, General Manager at Alfreton Hall said ‘getting any new business off the ground in the current climate is a challenge but we have been pleased with our progress to date’.

In 2012 the Hall has a record number of weddings being held at the Hall throughout the year with this figure expected to rise by another 20% in 2013.

Luke added ‘We have learnt a huge amount since starting and seem to have hit on a great formula for delivering a quality service to our customers. A growing business means that we also employ more people which is good for the local economy and its people’.

Alfreton Hall has other plans in the pipeline to take their wedding provision to yet another level of excellence and offer even more value back to people in the area choosing to use the prestigious wedding venue for their special day.

Regular open evenings are held at the Hall giving couples the chance to take a look around in a relaxed, no pressure environment.
